USPTO Open Data Portal

USPTO Open Data Portal

Great news for patent data enthusiasts! The USPTO has launched its Open Data Portal (ODP), making it faster and easier to access patent and trademark datasets. Whether you're a researcher, developer, or just a data geek, this platform simplifies the way you retrieve and customize USPTO data.

The new portal brings multiple services into one site, eliminating the need to jump between platforms. Streamlined and consolidated API access makes retrieving data more efficient than ever.

This launch also means PEDS will be available for at least 30 days and BDSS for at least 60 days post-launch. If you rely on these systems, now’s the time to explore ODP!

Update: open-source ODP client library released

For automatic, programmatic access to ODP Data consider my new USPTO ODP library.
